What is WorkMade?

WorkMade is the AI accountant for people who work for themselves. It is live in the United States today, and a UK version built for sole traders is launching for the 2027 tax year.

What is Making Tax Digital?

Making Tax Digital (MTD) is HMRC’s programme that replaces the single annual Self Assessment return with digital record-keeping and quarterly updates filed through recognised software. It became law for sole traders and landlords earning over £50,000 in April 2026, extends to those earning over £30,000 in April 2027, and over £20,000 in April 2028.

What will WorkMade UK do?

WorkMade UK will keep your books current from your bank feed, set tax aside as you earn, file your quarterly Making Tax Digital updates, and sort your Self Assessment — and you’ll be able to ask it anything about your money in plain English.
